Most comparisons count layers and compare prices. Those matter, and they are also the easiest things to measure. Here are the harder questions that change how a product fits your season, where RackIQ™ lands today, and what is still being tested.
Each comparison is sourced from the other product's current official materials and explains where it may be the better fit.
This is the real fork. A common product pattern is to provide layers, a forecast, and a rating, then leave the final interpretation to you at four o'clock. Decide whether you want more evidence to read or a product willing to record a specific recommendation.
One line: hunt it or save it, which stand, and the window. With a reason and a confidence, and it will tell you to sit one out when sitting one out is the right call. Everything else on the screen is there to explain that line if you want it explained.
Your farm is not the county. The bench that produces on a northwest wind, the buck that only shows in the last week of October, and the stand you have already burned this month are property-specific evidence. Ask whether the product can retain and use them.
It banks your specific property, cameras, named bucks, sits, and outcomes. The 2026 field test is designed to measure whether that accumulated property history improves future unseen calls.
A better picture of the dirt is useful. The harder question is what the product does with it. A saddle you can see becomes more actionable when terrain, thermal phase, wind, access, and pressure are evaluated together.
Terrain is an input, not just a picture. RackIQ models thermal and scent movement from slope, aspect, wind, and cover, then uses that model to compare access and stand options. It shows the reasoning so the hunter can judge it.
The useful comparison is not only whether a product has a LiDAR layer. Ask how clearly it states local coverage limits and how terrain fits the rest of the hunting decision. RackIQ includes a selectable USGS 3DEP-derived terrain view and states that a map does not prove current deer use.
Elevation data is not uniform. Ask whether a terrain product distinguishes high-resolution ground from areas where the source is too coarse to support a precise feature call.
It measures the effective resolution of every read and withholds any feature the data cannot support, then tells you the detail level and how much was held back. A bench needs fifteen metres or better to be named. Below that you get silence instead of a guess.
Any product can say it works. Ask what was tested, what the test actually measures, whether misses remain visible, and whether the next evaluation was set before the answer was known.
Every call is reconciled against what actually happened in the hunter's private history. This is our first scored season, so we do not have an accuracy figure yet and we will not invent one. Field Evidence reports product-level tests, methods, corrections, and aggregate results without publishing private hunter or property data.
Worth knowing before you decide, because no app is all of them.
And on coverage: parcel data comes from state and county public GIS where it is published and a licensed national source elsewhere, so it varies by jurisdiction. If your ground is somewhere the record is thin, RackIQ will tell you it could not find the parcel rather than draw you a line it invented, and you can trace it yourself in about a minute.
You can keep a map you already trust, but RackIQ is built so you do not have to assemble the hunt across a pile of apps. Maps, LiDAR, conditions, cameras, stands, sits, decisions, outcomes and learning belong in one system. The point is not to claim every feature every hunting app offers.
